I’m back again with my good friend Tina Anderson to talk about how to keep our families healthy and well during back to school season. Tina began her career as a trial lawyer but realized after having kids the high-stress environment wasn’t a good fit. She then pivoted to a career as the in-house counsel for a pharmaceutical company. Tina changed directions again after getting frustrated by the many abuses she saw in the pharma industry.
These experiences opened her eyes to the world of natural health where she found her life’s work and purpose. After researching everything she could about disease prevention, maintaining good health, and how gut health is at the core of it all she set out to share her passion with the world. Tina and her husband created a supplement company largely based around probiotics and they now have a whole line of amazing supplements. My family takes quite a few of them and my kid’s recent favorite is the probiotic gummies!
But today’s episode is a really practical one that broadly covers what we can do to help our families have optimal health. We talk about the importance of sunlight and vitamin D, how mindset impacts our physical health, and how to (really) improve our gut health. Tina also busts some myths about fermented foods and why refrigerated probiotics aren’t the answer.
It’s always such a joy to talk with Tina and I can’t wait to share our conversation with you!
