Guess what? My brand-new updated Wellness Mama cookbook with over 100 new recipes is now available everywhere books are sold today! Despite all of the literary comparisons of writing a book to birthing a baby, it turns out that the books do in fact take longer!

The NEW Wellness Mama Cookbook…

If you’ve been a reader for a few years (many thanks to you!), you may remember my original Wellness Mama Cookbook that I self-published a couple of years ago. What you may not have known about that cookbook is that I saved up for months so I could afford to print copies in large enough quantities to make them a reasonable price to sell.

I love Amazon for all things shopping, but almost had a nervous breakdown trying to put it all together, so I decided not to reprint additional copies when the original print run sold out.

Old Wellness Mama Cookbook – Just $248?!

I was happy with my decision to never print more cookbooks until I got a few angry emails from wonderful readers who found my original cookbook on Amazon and wanted to buy it. Except it cost over $200!

Since I hadn’t printed more copies, Amazon only had used copies left and they were expensive! I also got a lot of emails asking for me to re-release the cookbook.

A Win:Win:Win

I’m so excited to announce that I’m finally re-releasing the cookbook and this time I have the help of an incredible editor and publisher!

I’ve added over 100 new recipes that aren’t on the blog or in the original cookbook and they’ve helped make the design and photos beautiful.

The Best Part?

The cookbook is SOOOO much better and it’s so much cheaper too! You can order right now at a heavily discounted price (as low as 30% off!)

(Also- The publishing team has people who specialize in dealing with the retailers to make everything happen… I’ll be sending them a gift basket and perhaps a hand-painted mural showing my gratitude!)

A Peek Inside…

The majority of the recipes in the new and improved cookbook are fast, easy and made with all-natural ingredients. Many are slow-cooker, Instant Pot or one-pot meals that come together quickly. From the more eloquent words in the official description:

With six kids, a popular blog, and no free time, Katie, creator of the incredibly popular Wellness Mama website, knows firsthand how difficult it is to cook a healthy, homemade dinner every night. Faced with her own health challenges, and also concerned about the frightening statistics on the future health of her children’s generation, Katie began to evaluate the foods she was eating and feeding to her family.

She became determined to find a way to create and serve meals that were wholesome, easy to prepare, budget-friendly, and family approved. The Wellness Mama Cookbook is a compilation of all that she has learned, with 200 simple, delicious recipes using all-natural ingredients; meal plans; time-saving tips; and advice that will take the guesswork out of dinner.

The recipes and practical advice Katie offers will help you eliminate processed foods and move toward more healthy, home-cooked meals that are easily prepared—most in thirty minutes or less. The recipes focus on whole foods that are free of grains and refined sugars and without harmful fats, but are still delicious and full of flavor. With a variety of slow-cooker and one-pot meals, light lunches, dinners, and desserts, you’ll be eating better in every way in no time at all.

Recipes include Sesame Chicken with Sugar Snap Peas, Sweet Potato Crusted Quiche Lorraine, Beef and Zucchini Stir Fry, and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies, as well as recipes for bone broths, fermented foods, and super food drinks and smoothies. Katie also shares pantry-stocking advice, two weeks of meal plans for at home and on-the-go, shopping lists, and more. This is the ultimate cookbook that readers need to incorporate healthy eating knowledge into their daily practices.

Here’s a sneak peek into the cookbook to give you an idea of what kind of recipes you can expect to find…

Tons of great kid-tested and approved breakfasts and smoothies including my kids’ favorite Apple Cinnamon Muffins and Gorilla Green Smoothie:

Tons of awesome one-pan meals (because who likes doing dishes?), including many slow-cooker meals which save me all kinds of time in the kitchen.

Moroccan Stir Fry

All-time favorites like stuffed sweet potatoes, the easiest and best Slow-Cooker Fajita Chicken ever and so much more:

There are over 200 recipes total and in all seriousness, my family could eat just these recipes for the rest of our lives and be completely happy. Some of my personal favorites from the new book (and not featured on the blog):

  • Wedge Salad with Avocado Green Dressing
  • Bacon Guacamole Bites on Sweet Potato Chips
  • Swedish Meatballs
  • No-Bake Meyer Lemon Bars
  • Gorilla Green Smoothie

This new cookbook is even better than the original and I think you’re going to love all the new recipes.

Have you ordered your copy yet? What is your favorite recipe from my new cookbook?

I’m purchasing the cookbook! However, I would love it if you included your kumbucha, elderberry syrup, acv drinks and many other of your healthy daily supplements. I’m always on your website to make these drinks and I would love to just flip through a book! Congratulations on your new cookbook!

    Hi there,

I pre ordered your book and got the email to access the bonuses. Super cool! However when I contacted Grove, they said that I cannot have their bonus because I am already a member and the bonuses only apply to new members. So is there an alternative bonus I can get since I cannot take advantage of the Grove one?

    Thanks,
    Lisette

        Katie,
Congratulations on your latest endeavor…you Amaze and Inspire me! I bought your original cookbook and am very curious how the new one differs. I am trying to be very wise with my spending. What does your new cookbook contain that the original does not? You mentioned it is a re-release, so I am just wondering if I would have 2 of the same cookbooks? Thank you for all you do and all of the free online advice. I am writing a book too and have an infant and 2 other young children. I haven’t written since my baby was born. How do you make time to write? God’s Blessings on you and your precious family!

Just preordered from Amazon. I’m wondering how you decide which of these comments to reply to as I still don’t see a reply to mine asking if there are any single serve recipes. I clicked on your survey link but it won’t let me post anything when I clicked “other” nor will it let me post anything in the second section, not good customer service since you actually ask people to comment.

So sorry for your trouble and thanks for the preorder! Most recipes are geared toward a family of 3-4, but can easily be reduced. Another option would be to make the regular size and refrigerate or freeze the extra portions for future meals.

First of all I think your amazing. How do you find the time to do everything you do? Here at our house there’s only my husband and I and I was wondering about a chart of making the recipes in smaller quantities. Sometimes its hard to figure out how to do it. If you could add that that would be great!
    Thanks

    Hi there 🙂

I ‘s love to see portable lunchbox ideas for kids and adults – either quick to prepare or prepare in bulk in advance – either the beginning of the week or to freeze.

    Thanks 🙂

Hi, As a male single parent (Cassie 10 / Taylor 8) I too am excited to try some of those Quickie Nutritious Meals you were talking about …. getting my children interested, involved in cooking and eating healthy foods is a daunting task …. especially in our American Cultures (unhealthy/ fast food) ways of existing in todays up-tempo lifestyle. Here’s hoping your new Cook Book reaches the hands of those that seek knowledge realizing that, a healthy diet, pays off producing longer more productive lives!!!

  12. Emily Avatar

If I purchase the book, will there be a way to import the recipes into Real Plans?

  13. Lene Avatar

    Congratulations with your book!

I watched your “live book reveal” a little belated and noticed that several people asked you abourt your wooden high chair. It’s a Norvegian Tripp Trapp chair from 1972 and it has recieved several design prices for form and functionality. It’s hugely popular in Scandinavia and is being passed on through generations.

I love your blog and can’t wait for your book to come out. I tried to find a way to contact you but this seems to be the only way. Have you even done a post about vaccines or pregnancy tests you did or didn’t do? You seem to research so much and I (and I’m sure many people) would love to know what you have found.

So excited to get your book of easy kid friendly and most imporantly healthy good food! I would love for you to have a section that would give easy substitutions. Nothing more frustrating than thinking you are going to make somehting to realize you don’t have a missing ingredient. ie, no arrowroot powder could use ——,
Another bonus I would really appreciate would be CRAZY fast meals, like you just got home from soccer and everyone is starving…go to chapter 10 and find 5 minute or less meals, would be super helpful! I so adore you Katie and thank you for sharing so much with us!

    1. Casey Avatar

Oh, I would also so appreciate you having a section of your most needed supplements for yourself and your kiddos. It would be so nice to have that all in one spot. Our motto over here is…”thy food is thy medicine” so seems like it could be really fitting to have a bonus of natural remedies along with go to supplements.
And personally I hope their are lots of pictures of your adorable cutie pies!
Thanks so much Katie, you Rock!!

      1. Telina Avatar

Yes, I agree! It would be wonderful to see a list of supplements you take and recommend, including ones for pregnancy, nursing, and for kiddos!

  16. amy Avatar

Congratulations Katie, so happy for you! Not certain if I’ll pre-order, but if not I’ll keep a look out when your cookbook hits the shelves!

Will this have the wire in where it lays flat when open? I wish I would have bought the other one when it was still available 🙂

  18. Molly Avatar

Since I’m a single I’m wondering if you mention if recipe leftovers can be frozen or would I need to guess which ones I can do that with? I really need to start eating better to see if it will help my health problems.

  19. Telina Avatar

If we pre-order now, will we receive the bonus when it ships in December? Or do we need to wait to order to get the bonus? SO excited to get this cook book!!! I love your blog and It looks amazing!!

    1. Wellness Mama Avatar

I will definitely make sure anyone who preorders can access bonuses when they are available. Just save a copy of your email receipt 🙂 Thanks so much for reading!
