Today’s episode is a really important one for moms everywhere but especially breastfeeding moms. And even if you bottle feed or do a combination there are still lots of helpful nuggets here! I’m talking with Dr. Erin Appleton today all about breastfeeding and postpartum.
Dr. Erin is an MD and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She’s also one of only a few hundred medical doctors in the world with a fellowship in the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. At her practice, she helps thousands of families with breastfeeding issues and has extensive resources online as well.
A lot of moms can have breastfeeding issues, but it’s hard to get targeted, helpful advice. Dr. Erin talks about how to help baby have the best microbiome and why this is so important. We also talk about lip and tongue ties and why these can really interfere with feeding (but can often go unnoticed even by medical professionals). Plus so much more information.
As a doula, I get a lot of questions about postpartum and breastfeeding so I’m excited to share this resource with you!
