I’m here today with Dr. Elizabeth Yurth, a double board-certified physician in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and antiaging and regenerative medicine. She has over 30 years of clinical experience. Dr. Yurth also runs the Boulder Longevity Institute and an online system with medical level teaching to help patients make informed decisions.
Dr. Elizabeth Yurth started off as a conventional medical doctor but realized there was a better way. Instead of healing, patients would progressively worsen, resulting in joint replacement surgeries. So she decided to go back to school and got a fellowship in regenerative medicine.
Dr. Yurth is a huge wealth of information when it comes to tackling (and preventing!) joint problems naturally. We discuss what we can do as adults to protect our aging joints, why movement is so important (not the enemy), and how we can use these principles to help the younger generations grow up with healthy joints. She shares how the most common orthopedic surgery in the US is banned in other countries and what we can do instead.
Our joints are what help support our bodies and help us move, so they’re something I want to take good care of. I learned so much in today’s episode and I hope you’ll join me and listen in!

I watched with great interest and found this blog fascinating. My husband is struggling with lots of joint pain, especially in his big toe. He had a bone spur removed there a few years ago, but it seems to have returned and worsened, and it’s causing him great pain. The hormones that Dr. Yurth mentioned would probably be very helpful. We are older now and have a limited income, so I doubt that we could afford her direct services. But I’m searching for the supplements she talked about and found several. That may be the best place for us to start.
