Apple pork chops are an easy and fast recipe that my kids love. I keep pork chops in the freezer for nights I know I will be in a rush. The apples add great flavor to the pork and the balsamic vinegar gives a bit of a sweet and tangy taste.

I love that this recipe comes together quickly for busy nights. The combination of apples and spices turns simple pork chops into a flavorful meal idea. I like to roast some broccoli or Brussels sprouts in the oven or whip up some vegetable noodles while this is cooking so that everything is ready at one time.

You can make these with boneless or bone-in pork chops. If you use boneless, you may need to reduce the cooking time slightly, depending on the thickness of the chop. For a lazier version of this recipe, you can just pour apple sauce over the pork before baking or sautéing in place of the sliced apples.

If your family loves pork, you should also try my roasted pork tenderloin with lemon parsley oil.

Alternatively, you could cook the pork chops and apples together in large skillet. This only takes about 15 minutes.

Hi! I just came across this recipe looking for a nice allergy friendly pork chop marinade…when you do them on the skillet do you just do each side for about 7 min? When do you add apples in the skillet version? Thank you!

I was a little concerned about the amount of balsamic but everything came together perfectly. This dish is fast, easy, lite yet complex. Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed your recipe. Thank you!

I am not a huge meat eater and hate to cook it but I have a family of boys and they like meat. I am trying Paleo because I feel like we need a change. This looked good but taking way longer than 20-30 min to cook. And they seem tough. Not sure what I’m doing wrong because I followed the recipe directly. 🙁 we are starved and they’ve been in so long. Any advice?

Why do you say it’s not user friendly? Readers are always commenting about how user friendly it actually is, so I’m confused why you think it is not…

Thank you for the recipe without sugar!!! So far every similar recipe I’ve seen online calls for at least 2 tablespoons – why, what is so great about covering the meat with sugar? Kind of beyond my understanding.
Your recipe looks very well balanced, without any unnecessary ingredients or hassle in preparation. Will try it tonight and serve with lemon butter quinoa 🙂

Sounds delish! Can’t wait to try it tomorrow. I am trying to get my family to eat paleo, so I am hoping this is good enough for them. 😉 It doesn’t come out too dry, right? If I omit the vineger will is be too dry?

Definitely! Done it before, it is a couple hours on high or 3-4 on low usually.

Sounds yummy!! I’m going to try it tonight… just wondering if there is any nutritional difference if I bake it versus frying it. I’ve never cooked pork chops before… we just started eating meat after a 7 year hiatus… and we purchased a quarter of a pig… so I’ll have plenty need for new pork recipes!! Thank you so much!!

Frying is fine too, just avoid using vegetable based oils (canola, corn, soybean, vegetable, sunflower, etc) and use tallow, lard or coconut oil.. Congrats on eating meat again!

Sounds tasty. I would unfortunately have to omit the vinegar because my kids really dislike it. Apples and pork are a great combination though. Thanks for participating in Gluten-Free Wednesdays.

My kids aren’t fans of vinegar either, but they don’t seem to mind the balsamic once it has been cooked. It gets a lot sweeter, so maybe that is why

Do you know how many calories are in one of your apple pork chops? Also wanted to say I made these today for my family for dinner and they were a big hit I didn’t have the vinegar so I had to omit that well get some and use it next time I make these.
