  1. Awesome info! I am on medication and since beginning it I feel worse and have more of the symptoms I was told I should have been experiencing before medication. I, literally, was not having any of these problems pre-meds. I am about 5 hours from Austin but I will be making the drive to Modern Thyroid Clinic! The info on how to get the kids out of the carb-cycle is huge for me. I have a challenging eater but I know I can get her back on track. This really encouraged me to stay the course with her.   3. I’m a bit confused here… Your recommendation on this page is to take low-dose iodine. However when I click on the “improve your thyroid function naturally” link, it states that you should NOT supplement with iodine. Which is it?

  4. McCall, You should fact check your clinical laboratory information before spreading MISinformation. The laboratory is everyone’s favorite whipping boy because it is out of sight but it really serves to discredit the other information that IS in your area of expertise when you spread falsehoods. Reference ranges are established by testing NORMAL volunteer donors and are verified every year with more volunteer NORMAL donors. Yes, they are different from laboratory to laboratory due to different instrumentation, methodologies and patient populations but reference ranges are NEVER established with abnormal PATIENT samples. By definition those are not NORMAL and are, therefore, excluded from a “NORMAL” value study. If you are utilizing a laboratory that uses patient samples to establish their reference ranges you should try using a more reputable laboratory and ask to see their licensing credentials.

  6. I am waiting to hear from the doctor if I for sure have hyper thyroidism. I am 20 and have no clue what this means. But I am already gluten free and eat healthier than anyone else I know! So I’ll be looking into a natural way to treat it if at all possible. Thanks for the info!

  7. McCall refers to a thyroid panel guide on her website, but I can’t find it? Am I mistaken in what she meant? She also started to give this info I think and stated that ideal panel test results should be 3.4-3.8 for T3 and anything above 2 for TSH is considered elevated, but then went off talking about something else – can you clarify this? Thank you!
