Raspberry chocolate pie is one of my favorite dessert recipes of all time. It is one of those awesome no-bake recipes that is the perfect blend of rich and refreshing.

Raspberry Chocolate Pie: A Quick and Easy No-Bake Dessert

Fresh fruit combined with protein-packed almonds, healthy-fat coconut oil, decadent cocoa, and lightness from whipped cream. It’s a combo that can’t be beat.

Once the crust is made for this pie, it’s simply a matter of filling the crust with fresh raspberries and topping it with whipped cream. Or coconut cream, if you prefer. I love the chocolate-raspberry-cream combination, but if you have a surplus of another fruit, give it a try!

I like to have a good stash of healthy no-bake dessert recipes on hand for when I need a quick dessert. And bonus: I don’t have to heat up the house with the oven to make them.

The other advantage of this recipe is that children can easily help make it since there is no slicing or baking required and having children help prepare food makes them much more likely to eat and enjoy it.

No-Bake Chocolate Almond Crust

The crust for this pie is the most labor intensive part of this recipe. And it takes a whopping five minutes to make! It’s a crumb mixture of ground almonds, coconut oil, cocoa, and honey. Usually, I press it into a pie pan. Or I sometimes make mini pies and press the crust into smaller dishes.

It’s a really versatile little crust recipe and could be used for all sorts of other desserts. You could skip the pressing part altogether and just crumble it in the bottom of a dish. I also plan to try it trifle-style as a crumble layered with fruits and nuts and whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw almonds (or raw almond meal)
  • ¼ cup coconut oil (or butter, melted)
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 12 oz fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or coconut cream, optional)
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • If using whole almonds pulverize in food processor or high-powered blender until powdered.
  • In bowl, mix ground almonds, melted coconut oil or butter, cocoa powder, and honey. Should be crumbly consistency. Use more coconut oil or butter as needed.
  • Press into the bottom of round pie pan or 8x8 glass baking dish.
  • Fill the crust with berries.
  • Store in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes or until ready to eat.
  • Whip the heavy cream or coconut cream with vanilla until thickened and store in the refrigerator.
  • Before serving, top the pie with the whipped cream.

Notes

These can also be made in individual dishes for single-serving desserts. I've made them in ramekins and pint-size mason jars for serving guests.

Chandra, not necessarily. HEALTHY fats are healthy for all of us, do NOT cause us to be fat, in fact it is quite the opposite. Healthy fats help us feel full faster, increase the cholesterol that lubricates our joints, helping to prevent and relieve arthritis, and other joint related issues. (Cholesterol, another misunderstood good for us product in our bodies. Do some research, it does NOT cause heart issues if used and done correctly.) And for those of us on Keto diet, can help us drop fat in a fast and healthy way, AND help those of us with type 2 diabetes keep our blood sugar controlled. Do research. It is helping me to avoid metformin Rx. (But, again, DO RESEARCH before trying to ditch the drugs for diabetes! I am only doing it as my DR dumped me for not being able to come in to do A1C tests every 3 months, so, no Dr, no prescription. I found a place to buy the test strips and meter, so I’m still testing myself daily.)
So, no, whipping cream (from organic heavy whipping cream) is NOT unhealthy for us, of course that is not to say those with dairy issues should use it!
I have tried whipping coconut cream, and for me, with no dairy issues, it just isn’t the same, but it is still good and a good replacement if dairy cream isn’t for you.

I love the healthy desserts on this site, but had been struggling to find something to make for my father for Father’s Day. He suffers from Diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure so finding anything he can have besides meat and veggies is a challenge. Then I stumbled on this recipe. I looked it over and realized that it would be exceedingly low carb (like nearly all of your recipes) along with extremely low sugar (only a little from the fruit and honey). To top it off if I used coconut oil instead of butter and whipped coconut cream instead of conventional cream the recipe is also cholesterol free! Thank you so much for posting this recipe and giving me the ability to create something sweet for my father 🙂

Instead of heavy cream I used coconut cream – so yummy. It’s easy to make, just leave a can of cream in fridge overnight or couple of hours and then whisk as normal dairy cream. Perfect alternative. PS: love your website, so addictive to read all wisdom 😉

This was so yummy, I had the leftovers for breakfast 🙂 Next time I might try to spread the crust on a piece of parchment paper, cool it, then cut the crust in squares and layer it in a dessert cup with the raspberries and whipped cream. Might add blueberries too. Thanks for this delicious recipe!

I made this tonight for a progressive dinner and it was delicious!! I knew the dessert home would be full of things with sugar and wheat, things I’ve been avoiding during pregnancy, and so this recipe seemed to fit the bill. Everyone loved it! The chocolate crust was wonderful and the tartness of the berries married so well with the whipped cream! I used frozen raspberries instead of fresh since I couldn’t find any, but it still worked out wonderfully. The berries were more just chilled than frozen by the time we made it to the last house for dessert anyway.

    Seriously, wonderful!!!!

I made this today with orange slices instead of raspberries because I couldn’t find any good berries. The chocolate and orange combination was yummy too!
