How to Save Money with Amazon Mom

Amazon MomToday I want to share a couple of resources I’ve recently found that save money and make finding natural food/products MUCH easier.

If you aren’t already a member, I highly recommend checking out Amazon Mom. A friend mentioned it to me several months ago but I just recently got around to checking it out. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner!

Basically, if you have kids or take care of kids (Dads can sign up too) you can sign up for an Amazon Mom account through your regular Amazon account and get free 2-Day shipping for up to a year, plus  15-30% off kids items and even food items (like coconut milk, pemmican, dark chocolate….)

Oh yeah, and it is free and you can cancel at any time.

This makes things like diapers (which are 30% off and have free shipping) cheaper to have delivered to your door than to buy at the store.

There are also quite a few movies that you can stream for free through an Amazon Mom membership.

If you want to sign up, here’s how. Click on “Your Account” in the top right corner of your screen once you are logged in to your regular Amazon account.

Then scroll down to “Settings” and click on  Amazon Mom Membership

It will prompt you on how to sign up and it doesn’t cost anything.

Since I’ve been spending so much time on Amazon, I made a list of some of my favorite resources and put them all in one place.

My recommended books, foods, grocery items and baby stuff are all in my new Amazon store. This makes it easier for me to find them to re-order, but I wanted to share it with you too.

Click on the picture below to check out the Official Wellness Mama Amazon Store, you don’t even have to leave the site, you can shop while still on my site!

  1. I buy the same brand of coconut milk from Amazon too!  I love using it for Amazon Mom and getting the “prime” benefits. It is awesome.

  2. I found your site last week and love it, you are one of my daily reads now! Thanks for the great info!
Any idea how Amazon Mom compares to Amazon Prime?

    • From what I understand, it is the same access and everything, but it is free so no yearly fee at all!

      • Uh-oh!   I almost hit the “JOIN” button, but when I read the fine print, it looks like Amazon Mom membership AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLS YOU in the Amazon Prime program at the end of 3 months, which costs $79! Take a look at the bit I copied, below:

        “Membership Benefits
If you sign up for an Amazon Mom membership, you will receive certain benefits free for an initial three-month period as indicated in the Amazon Mom program pages at the time you sign up. These benefits include FREE Two-Day Shipping on all eligible purchases and 20% off select diapers and wipes, which includes a 5% Subscribe & Save discount plus an additional 15% discount exclusively for Amazon Mom members. Unless you cancel before the end of the initial three-month period, you will automatically be enrolled in Amazon Prime and charged an annual membership fee of $79. Amazon Prime benefits include FREE Two-Day Shipping on all eligible purchases and Amazon Prime instant videos. Benefits are subject to restrictions, such as geographic limitations, as stated on the Prime section of our Help pages. Amazon Mom members will also be entitled to discounts and promotions, which we will communicate to you via e-mail or make available on the Amazon Mom membership page at”

Thank you for this wonderful website.

        • Thanks for the heads up. This actually wasn’t there when I signed up. I heard that they changed their terms, but hadn’t gone back and read…. so frustrating!

      • Have you ever looked into ordering these type of items from ? Some of their bulk items are very affordable. We stock up on a lot of things like grains, coconut oil, etc. There’s also a local drop-off so there’s no shipping. oh, we can also get organic produce, too.

  3. I’ve been a Mom member for a LONG time now, so my prime shipping is expired – BUT – I still get the discount notifications, and orders over $25 still ship free, so it represents a lot of savings for us on things we would probably not buy (because we couldn’t afford them) otherwise.  We are in a grocery ghetto, of sorts, and though our regional chain carries quality merchandise, they have a monopoly on anything organic and charge accordingly.  Our lone farmer’s market does its best to keep us fresh and local, gratefully.

  4. Grrr! They aren’t “accepting new members” right now. Does anyone know anything about this? Could it just be because of the holiday season???

    • I tried just now and they still do not accept new members. Ah, well….
