Improve Your Oral Health [OraWellness Giveaway!]

remineralizing toothpaste Improve Your Oral Health [OraWellness Giveaway!]We’ve been talking about oral health a lot lately, explaining how oral health affects the health of the whole body (part II) and how the teeth, like the rest of the body, can regenerate and remineralize if given the right nutrients.

I even shared a way to whiten teeth naturally using one natural substance

Last year, I found OraWellness products and they’ve been part of my oral health regimen since this. I’m using their products yo help remineralize my husband’s cavity, and other relatives have been having great success with using their products to help receding gums and gum disease.

I use their products daily (and keep a bottle of their brushing blend in my purse as a breath freshener) so I was excited when the founders of Ora Wellness, Will and Susan, agreed to let me share their brushing blend and toothbrushes with you guys.

Will and Susan have become friends over the last few months (they like kettlebells too!) and they are a great resource if any of you have oral health questions. Susan reversed advanced gum disease in her own mouth, and they are now committed to helping others improve their oral health.

The Giveaway:

Improve Your Oral Health [OraWellness Giveaway!]One reader will win a bottle of their Brushing Blend (It lasts a long time!) and a family pack of their Bass toothbrushes. The brushing blend has a great minty/cinnaminny (is that a word?) taste and the brushes are noticeably different than regular toothbrushes. Check out all of their products over at Ora Wellness.

I’m already signed up for your newsletter and just signed up for the OralWellness one as well! My goal is to have healthier gums. I noticed a receding gum line the other day, and am determined to do something about it!

  • Jacquelynn Gilbert

I’ve signed up for both newsletters!  My biggest challenge is stains on my teeth, and getting food caught in pockets in my gums.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Donna-Sweet/850909043 Donna Sweet

I already receive your newsletter and love it! :) Just signed up for the OraWellness newsletter.
My biggest oral health challenge right now is cavity/cavities that I’d love to heal and prevent.
Thank you for your recent articles on doing just that. :-)

Ever since I started having kids I have gotten cavities.  I already receive your your mail and signed up for Orawellness!

  • JLK

I signed up for both newsletters; I would like to improve tooth sensitivity.

  • Allison

I have terrible teeth! I have no idea where to even begin telling what my biggest problem is! My mouth is a HOT MESS! (I have signed up for both NL’s:)

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_DNRLQFZJA5TVB6K3IZUHNU3FBA RaymondM

I am now signed up for both newsletters… since becoming an adult, I’ve had problems with tooth sensitivity & cavities.  One tooth got so bad that the dentist said I may need a root canal but she was able to just cap it instead.  Ugh! -Heather

  • Sandy

I’m already signed up for you newsletter & am signing up for oral health website. I have sensitivity to hot & cold with my teeth

  • Jwong

I think my biggest issue is just brushing.  I am really good in the morning but at night just want to climb in bed and go to sleep.  I think I do have receding gums as well.

  • Angela Hooley

my husband has receding gum issues and I struggle with a bad taste in my mouth / bad breath

  • Tina Basinger

I signed up for the newsletters.  I currently have a cavity that I’m trying to remineralize, so it would be great to win this!

  • Courtney

I just subscribed to both! My biggest challenge would be taking time to actually care for my teach so as to prevent cavities. I brush them–don’t get me wrong! But sometimes I wonder if I should floss and mouth rinse and do all that of that stuff…so as to prevent bad breath as well!

  • Anonymous

My biggest oral health challenge is sensitivity… it comes and goes, just like my dedication to my diet. Hmmmm…

  • Emalouhow

My biggest challenge is stained & sensitive teeth.

  • Sarah

Signed up for both. Bad breath

  • http://www.MyZooBurbia.com/ Chantel

I already receive your newsletter and I just subscribed to the OraWellnes newsletter. I now make and use your remineralizing toothpaste. I started oil-pulling a while back but couldn’t stay consistent and pretty much fell off that bandwagon. I have a couple teeth that are sensitive at the very top next to the gum line. Maybe it’s a receding gum line? I’m really not sure.

  • Cathy

Just signed up for both!  Biggest challenge here is fast build-up of plaque behind my front two teeth.

  • Emily B

I just signed up for both! My biggest issue is cavities. No matter how much I brush and floss, I keep getting new cavities. I just got 2 fillings, and I’m facing a root canal and 3 more fillings in the next few months.

  • Tomstella1220

My husband just went to the dentist yesterday and they prescribed him some penicillin for an infection in his gums.  He didn’t even know he had an infection!  We are both battling receding gum lines and halitosis.

  • Belle

Already signed up. I love brushing blend. I have been using it for about two weeks and I have already noticed a difference. Thanks for sharing with us!

  • Ryan1debra

I am signed up for both! My biggest issue currently is some tooth decay in my almost 4 year old.  Wanting to use your toothpaste recipe but needing to change flavor so there is less resistance.

  • Diz

My biggest challenge is bad breath, partly due to extremely dry mouth.  None of my doctors or dentists have ever considered it a “health” problem even though I know it is.  Would love to fix this problem on my own.

  • http://ameliashealthylife.blogspot.com/ Amelia

My biggest challenge is helping to prevent and heal cavitites as well as stop my teeth from breaking! I’ve had two chipped teeth where pieces have chipped off for no good reason. There must be an issue there…

  • Sarah

Just signed up for both! My biggest oral health challenge is receding gums on a few teeth, exposing the dentin.  However, my oral health has already improved since cutting out all wheat products in September! My dentist even commented on it when I went in for a cleaning just a month or so after cutting out wheat.  I can’t wait to see what they say at my appointment in April, especially after using the Ora Wellness brushing blend!

  • Sarah

(Oh, and by the way, this is the first blog giveaway I’ve ever participated in!)

  • Rachel

I’m feeling pretty good about my oral health, but I want to keep it that way!

    (Signed up for both)

  • Mary L.

I signed up for both. My biggest concerns are my children and keeping them from having cavities/ re-materializing their teeth and for my husband whose had lots of dental issues his whole life ~ help for maintenance. Thanks for entering me.

  • KLynn

I’ve been checking out your website, reading your newsletter, following you on Facebook and I love all of it! Please keep all these wonderful tips coming! As for the oral hygiene, misguided attempts as a teen to whiten my teeth with conventional products has left the enamel thin and damaged :-( I’m hoping your re-mineralizing toothpaste recipe and other recommendations will help to mend my smile!

  • Lena flores

my biggest oral problem is my gums.  they’ve gotten worse with ea pregnancy.

  • Shari Urbancic

Signed up for yours already and now I’m getting both :) I think my biggest issue is the act of brushing itself. I wish I was better about it, but I think as someone else commented, at night I’m usually so tired I just want to go to sleep or forget about it, etc. I need to make it a bigger priority. Due to that, I’m also worried about what’s to come – cavities, gum disease, etc. Hopefully I can improve. I am making your toothpaste asap!!

  • Dbd3099

I’m already signed up for your mailing list. Will sign up for OralWellness now. :) I would love to heal and prevent cavities and very sensative teeth.

    Thanks!
    Dawn Doss

  • Tim

My greatest oral health problem is having growing translucence in my front teeth. I am definitely interested in remineralization (and love so much else about your blog). I’m especially looking forward to walking into the kitchen with black teeth. That should freak out my girls pretty nicely. I mean, what are dads for?

  • Lesley

My biggest oral health problem is preventing cavities. Both my parents have had horrible oral problems and have mouths full of crowns, bridges, and fake teeth. I’m trying not to go down that path.

  • Sue Scott

Already signed up for your newsletter and just signed up with orawell. I have ground my teeth for yours and the enamel is therefore thin. Plus the dentist recently said I had beginnings of gingivitis on one side.

  • Melissa B.

I am signed up for both newsletters. :)

  • Melissa B.

Also, I don’t have awful oral problems but I am so interested in keeping it that way AND improving my (and my family’s) oral health.

  • Saultite

    Katie,
I am signed up for your email but I cannot find where to sign up on orawellness site. Maybe because I use my iPhone? Anyhow I would if I could… My biggest problem is flossing! I hate doing it and it’s always somewhat painful after.

  • Venus

Just signed up for your newsletter! I have too many oral problems- gum sensitivity (easy bleeding), cavities recurring in the same tooth over and over, teeth that are tough to whiten, etc… I’ve been looking for a natural and organic product and I’ve found plenty of products but the problem is that they usually tend to be on the pricey side so that’s another dilemma for my college student budget. Hopefully I’ll be able to win this give away! I’d truly appreciate it!

  • Helene

    I’m signed up!

  • Heather

Signed up.  Love all the dental health info you have been providing.  A cavity I want to reverse and a bad bite.

  • http://knit5together.typepad.com/ anna

Wow!  Signed up.  Our biggest dental around here is just creating good brushing habits amongst the littles.  In my mind, that includes getting them to use non-toxic cleaners!  Thanks!

  • Rachael

I signed up at OraWellness and signed up for your newsletter a while back. I want my mouth to be at its best, it’s one of the first things people notice!

  • Valerig

Just signed up for both. My biggest challenged is sensitivity.

  • Sara

Just signed up for both newsletters!  I want less plaque on the backs of my teeth and to have them naturally whiter.

  • Susette

Just signed up for your newsletter and have already been receiving Orawellness newsletters. Am dealing with gingivitus and sore gums

  • Anonymous

Just subscribed to both newsletters! My teeth are so sensitive, AND I am prone to ulcers (especially aggravated by products containing SLS).

  • Ashley C

I just subscribed to each newsletter. I recently heard of OraWellness and thought it would be great for our family. I have dealt with cavities all my life (I have one at every visit) as well as bleeding gums, and my husband was recently told he has gum disease. We have a preschooler as well that we are trying to teach good habits and seek to prevent problems in. I am hoping adding OraWellness to our routine will help combat all of these issues!

  • Abigail Drake

I am subscribed to both newsletters.  My biggest oral challenge is actually my FIVE year-old daughter’s breath. It just seems chronically “bad.”  I have just taken her off “mainstream” toothpaste, and am trying to brush her teeth with baking soda.  l am anxious to try Orawellness’ brushing blend.  Would LOVE some.

  • Sara

Signed up for the newsletter. Purchased some magnesium products. Now hoping to work on improving overall oral health and preventing cavities!

  • Tny34

Signed up for both. I have lots of gum problems since my boys were born!

  • http://impressyourkids.org lmilla

I’m signed up for both… my main problem is getting my family on board with switching from “regular” flouride toothpaste.  My kids are easier than my husband to switch…

  • Kfeierab

I already signed up for your newsletter and just signed up for the oralwellness newsletter.  My biggest thing with my teeth, or maybe I should say things:  1.  Sensitivity   2.  My teeth seem to be “see thru”  3.  My teeth are yellow :(

  • Chelsea W

Already signed up for your newsletter, and signed up for the oralwellness one as well. my goal is to prevent cavities and my teeth from going to pot on me while pregnant!

  • Kerstin

    Good morning!
I am signed up for both newsletters, and my issue has always been a proclivity to get cavities easily.  I am also working on replacing many products with more organic or natural products, so this all comes along the same line.  I had read some of their articles, and watched the video on toothbrushing – even without their toothbrush, I must admit that their brushing method really does help with tooth sensitivity and cleanliness – much easier than the way I was brushing before.

  • Kristina

My husband has receding gums and bad breath and I have red swollen gums.  This sounds like it would help us both out.

  • Jessica West

These oral health posts have been fantastic – thank you so much!! I actually purchased OraWellness brushing blend back when I first saw you mention it a month or two ago. I love it!
My main worry with my own mouth is my gums. My husband also has problems with tooth decay and bad breath. We will be trying out your remineralizing toothpaste soon!

  • nadi

My husband has receding gums and tooth sensitivity. This really sounds like something that would help!

My problem: I started drinking Tulsi Tea last year to calm my stress. Well after the second day it stained my front teeth terribly! I have used food grade Hydrogen Peroxide mixed to 3% to try to remove the stains. It worked a little bit. I then was told baking soda would do it so I tried it. It worked some, but even a year later my teeth are still very noticibley stained! :( Since the staining I have given up taking any pictures with anyone including my 4 yr old daughter because not smiling in them is disturbing, so I take pictures of her instead. I refuse to use anything chemical to try and remove it. I do brush my teeth daily with baking soda and water, but the stains are still there. HELP!!! What else can I use to safely remove these horrible stains??? :’(
    Namaste,
    ~nadi

  • http://www.facebook.com/tarah.locke Tarah Locke

    I subscribed to both.
Malformed jaws are my hugest oral and overall health problem.
I have a couple ideas about why my jaws are malformed, non-breastfed, ate lots of grains and bad food as a kid…
Anyhow, my teeth only touch together in one spot, in the back right corner of my mouth.
So I can only chew in that one spot.
I have two small children and volunteer all my time to be a Food Activist in a GMO Labeling campaign, as well as go to school. So I haven’t had the time/money to go to the dentist, lest then actually have jaw surgery or wisdom teeth removed…
(as a kid I had SO many teeth surgeries, cavities, and braces for over ten years, so I also have a crazy fear of the dentist :/ )
So I’ve been transitioning into holistic health and ‘m going to try your recipe for homemade toothpaste and try to find a DIY tea tree tongue scrub and for my wisdom teeth where there are large gaps that trap lots of yuck.
    Thanks for your posts!

  • Karin

We have purchased these Bass toothbrushes from OraWellness as well as the brushing blend.  The blend is very good…would love more!  I currently am receiving both your newsletter and OraWellness’ newsletter.  Thanks for the valuable info.

I already get your newsletter and I just signed up for the OraWellness newsletter. I have always had bleeding gums even with brushing and flossing – I have sensitive teeth also.

  • Erin

Signed up for both! My greatest challenge is getting myself to floss and take care of them the way I should everyday.

  • Sarah Bryan

My biggest oral challenge is swollen gums that I’ve had trouble with ever since I had braces when I was middle school. With the help of diet, they have improved, but they are still not where they need to be!

  • Elizabeth

I’m already signed up for your newsletter and I just signed up for the oral health email.  Thanks for the giveaway!  My biggest challenge is a cavity.

I was already signed up for your newsletter and I am now signed up for the Oral Wellness newsletter.  I am interested in removing chemicals from my family and am concerned about cavities, gingivitis, bad breath and would love to whiten my teeth!  I love your site!  Thanks!

  • Monica

I signed up for both newsletters.  I think my gums are receding.

  • Aimee

Done! My biggest issue is the teeth at the bottom front are super crowded which makes it really hard for me to take proper care of them.

  • Shannon

Just signed up for  OraWellness’ newsletter, already get yours.  Our biggest dental concern is our youngest has hypoplasia enamel.  He was adopted and his mother was malnourished, and instead of getting formula his first year of life, he was fed watered down powdered milk.

  • Courtney

I am signed up cor both newsletters.  My biggest concern are my botttom teeth.  They seem to be getting closer together which makes them harder to take care of.

  • nan

I am subscribed to both newsletters.  I love them!  I’m 64 and have lots of recessions.  I really want to keep my teeth, till death do us part!  Also, my daughter has just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.  She’s adamant about anything that helps her stay healthy which is one reason I subscribed to these sites.

  • http://www.loveandbacon.com loveandbacon

I am now signed up for both newsletters. My biggest oral health challenge is that I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, which can be difficult to clean behind.

  • Mary Spotts

I am signed up for both. My biggest challenge is morning breath from a stuff nose overnight.

  • Crystal

All signed up!  My biggest challenge is brushing before bed, but even bigger is getting my BF to actually spend time brushing so his teeth’s so they are squeeky clean rather then just spending 30 second in his whole mouth.

  • Lizzyloco

Just signed up for Ora Wellness, already signed up for Wellness Mama.  Biggest challenge for me is getting into good, daily habits.  Way too often by the time the baby has finally settled down for the night I just skip it and jump straight into bed.

  • Susan

I just signed up for the Oral Wellness newsletter, and was already a subscriber to Wellness Mama.  My biggest oral health challenge is having sensitive teeth and gums.

  • Elizabeth

My friend and I have talked and read a lot about this and I have wanted to try it for months now! I want to try to get rid of these little cavities that they insist I have to have filled. I just haven’t been able to justify the expense on top of the other more pressing alternative things I’m spending money on!

  • Jessicamuhlstein

    Hi Wellness Momma!
I’m breastfeeding my daughter and am cautious of what goes into my body (and then hers). I’ve been told I have 5 cavities and receding gums :( This was while I was pregnant. I chose not to have anything done since the last appt and am going to try things your way! Looking forward to a cleaner life for my family.
    Thxs!
    Jessica

  • Tia Ly

I’m signed up! My biggest problem came in the form of invisalign trays, which have straightened my teeth, but also given me several cavities. =(

  • Kim

My biggest challenge is helping my five kids to develop good dental hygiene habits.

  • Tammi

I love your newsletter! Orawellness looks like wonderful products.  I have teeth sensativity and plaque build up-which I do not like the scraping at the dentist!

  • mary

Signed up for both. Biggest health problem is sinus issues, but dont think my teeth have anything to do with that. Love your re-minerlizing paste recipe. Made it and husband and I have been using it for about 3 weeks.

  • Bree

I signed up for both — thanks for this great giveaway!
My greatest challenge is cavities which I am working on healing through nutrition.  This orawellness kit would be so helpful!

  • Casie

    Flossing…

  • Gwen

I signed up for both.  I made your toothpaste just because I had the ingredients, but I keep making it because it’s made my teeth less sensitive.  I am looking forward to trying your other ideas.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jaime.haak Jaime Haak

Love your blog, Katie!  I’ve been making toothpaste using your recipe since September.  My biggest problem is keeping enough on hand – I go through it quickly and have a really busy lifestyle (who doesn’t!?). Perhaps until now, I haven’t found a brand that I can buy that doesn’t contain unnecessary or harmful ingredients.  Thanks for sharing Orawellness!

  • Amy D

I just signed up for both newsletters! I am so glad I found your blog. My daughter has tooth enamel problems and the dentists just kept telling me to stop breastfeeding at night but I knew that wasn’t the problem. We have adjusted her diet and are already seeing great improvements!!!

  • Amy

I’ve signed up for both. Thanks for this contest!

My biggest issue:  I had pretty bad teeth as a kid and now have a 25-30 year old filling in my mouth that is going bad. I have avoided having it replaced because I’m afraid the dentist will tell me that I need a root canal.  I would like to try to reverse as much damage as I can before it’s too late!

My four kids have great oral health — sure is funny how all of them have used fluoride-free toothpaste since infancy and none of them have EVER had a cavity!!

  • Meghan Cunha

I have signed up for both newsletters! I have tooth sensitivity and my husband always comments that my breath is horrendous! I’d love to give this a try!

  • Christi

When I went to the dentist a year ago everything looked good, but this was after having had 5 cavities refilled because the dentist told me that they were all too old. This was frustrating to me since I know many people more than twice my age who still have their original fillings. I would like to learn more about how to help cavities heal on their own, something I had never heard of before. I also asked the hygienist the ideal timing for brushing teeth in the morning (i.e. before breakfast, before and after breakfast, what time period to allow after eating, etc.) and she couldn’t give me an answer. This is disappointing since I have found research myself that see says some times are better than others. I’m really excited about learning to improve my oral health by trying out these new products!

  • Sierra Corbridge

I have a tooth that will need a root canal and another that is being watched for a cavity. I can’t wait to make the tooth paste, thx for your recipe!

  • Lauren

I want to heal my cavities!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Hi Sophia,
We can help.  Check out our free video called How to Brush Your Teeth to Reduce Gum Disease.  It discusses the Bass brushing technique, much more effective than how we all learned to brush when we were kids!

    To your health!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Drea,

We hear you on having kids.  It’s a common time for the immunity of the woman to dip.  Especially if you consider how your time is no longer just for you.  Unfortunately, our culture doesn’t help women rebuild after birth by ‘roasting’.  It’s important to restore our energy after birth.  Diet suggestions like what Wellness Mama post surely help.

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    JLK,

    Here’s a testimonial from one happy customer…

“After using OraWellness only three times I noticed that my teeth had lost their sensitivity during brushing.
This is a great product! I will order more!”  Holler with any questions.  We’re here to help!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Heather,

Good for you that you avoided a root canal.  From our research, root canals are a major contributor to illness throughout the whole body.

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Hi Sandy,

Lots of testimonials from happy customers stating how their tooth sensitivity has ‘gone away’ since applying the tools and techniques we share freely…

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Jwong,

Did you know that the 2 main causes of receding gums are 1. presence of gum disease (no surprise, over 9 out of 10 adults has it) and 2. brushing too hard with a toothbrush that has rough cut bristles.

We encourage you to check out the specially designed brushes on our site.  Bass brushes have rounded, polished bristle tips.  Combined with the Bass brushing technique (free video on our site), it’s a great way to effectively address receding gums…

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Angela,

You aren’t alone.  Pretty much every adult deals with these exact same issues.  In fact, chronic bad breath (common sign of gum disease) is the number 1 reason people go to the dentist.

It’s so easy to address.  We encourage you to go to our site and watch the FREE video on our site called the Cure for Bad Breath.

Holler with any questions.  We’re here to help!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Chantel,

You are correct to be aware of the tooth sensitivity.  It most likely is a warning sign that pays to stay aware of.  Be sure you are brushing with a quality brush that isn’t going to cause harm to the gum tissue while brushing.

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

Thanks for posting!  Plaque build up is super common behind the front teeth.  It’s from greater saliva production under the tongue.  The remineralizing paste Wellness Mama has on this blog is very, very effective to help reduce the build up!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Emily,

Ugg, thanks for posting.  I feel for your situation.  Here’s a quote we are very proud of, from a naturopathic doctor…

“I wanted you to know that 2 weeks ago I had my first dental check up where I had NO cavities! Thanks to you guys!!!”

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Hi Diz,

Thanks for sharing.  One of the common comments we receive from customers is how much their saliva production has increased.  This is tremendously beneficial for our overall health, including oral health.  Perhaps give it a try.  We do offer a 1 year guarantee!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

    Hi Sarah!

We can’t wait to hear from you in April!  :)

Thanks for posting!  Nothing like the threat of going down the same path as our parents to help motivate us! :)   Taking positive steps each day different than what we were taught (after all, how did they do with their oral health?).

    There is hope.

Listen to your body when flossing is painful!  Either your technique is too rough or you have signs of gum inflammation.  Pain is a strong signal from our bodies when something isn’t optimal…

    Sara,

Check out oil pulling for natural whitening!  Most commercial tooth whiteners can cause damage to the teeth and gums.  Oil pulling naturally whitens and helps restore oral health!

Agreed on the SLS.  That’s why our blend is made from 100% organic and wild crafted ingredients.  No fillers, chemicals, or other ‘questionable’ (aka toxic) ingredients…

    Elizabeth,

We each have to form our own opinions.  That said, it’s my opinion that cavities, especially small ones still in the enamel, are able to be remineralized.

My 4 and 6 year old just got their first cavities.  We eat a whole foods diet with no added sugar, no grains, and nothing processed.  I would love to know how to complement our healthy lifestyle with healthy mouthes.

  • Olivia

our biggest challenge is being sure that all of us brush our teeth regularly.  there are 6 of us in the house and 4 of us are 4years old and under.  i need a better schedule… or even just having a schedule at all rather.

  • Alicia Scott

    Signed up for both.
Biggest problem is making sure that all the children get theirs brushed everyday.

  • Danelle

    Bad breath

  • Cara

I’m so grateful to have heard about this site. My dentist wants me to see a periodontist for my bleeding and receding gums and I’m very nervous about that. I wonder if this could be a solution for me? Thanks!

  • Shepdawgz

I’m signed up for both newletters now.  I am very interested in improving my oral health.  My main concerns are receding gums and a little tooth sensitivity.  Of course, I’d like to get away from flouride, too!

  • Doina

Thanks for the giveaway!  Our biggest oral challenge is cavities.

  • Liz

I just signed up for both mailing lists!  My biggest oral health problem is that my gums are receding, a lot.  The dentist tells me it’s from brushing too vigorously.  I try to use a soft bristle brush and brush very lightly, but it doesn’t help.  And my teeth are pretty sensitive.  I want to get away from using sensitive toothpastes, and find a natural way to heal my gums and sensitivity.  Thanks!!

  • Lori U

I subscribed and I have very receding gums. Terrified that a front lower tooth will fall out.

  • Linds

I subscribed to both newsletters.  My biggest oral health challenge is tooth sensitivity, especially with cold foods.  Thanks for entering me in the giveaway!

  • http://twitter.com/FamLivingSimple Kyle Roberts

Done. Our biggest problem is having our son not swallow his tooth paste. We use a fluoride free brand, but would like to get him on something more natural.

  • Arlee

I signed up for your newsletter and OraWellness.

  • Veronica

I’m signed up for your newsletter and just signed up for orawellness.  I want to halt my receding gum lines (incidentally, my dentist said this is a sign of teeth clenching at night?? Doesn’t make much sense to me…) and decrease tooth sensitivity!!

  • Arlee

My biggest oral health problem is that I am bad at flossing. It’s just tedious and annoying to me.

  • Lesley

I’ve signed up for both newsletters.  My biggest oral health issueis receeding gums.  Would love to try the brushing blend.

  • Adventure Called LifeMT

I’m all signed up for the newsletter!  My biggest dental issue is sensitivity.

  • Kari

I am now signed up for both newsletters. When I started college I suddenly ended up with quite a few cavities. Now about 20 years later, those teeth with fillings are beginning to crack and need crowns :-(

  • DrMommaLaelle

Signed up for both now!  At my last cleaning a couple months ago, I have 2-3 small cavities that are right on the borderline for needing to be filled.  I would love to ideally have them get smaller, but at least to keep them from getting any bigger!

  • Christysintx

my little boys teeth are disintegrating on the top and all the doctors and dentists have to tell me is that he might have reflux… So, I trucked off to a Pedi GI doc who checked for reflux.  Guess what, after an endoscopy, NO REFLUX.  So, what in the world is taking my babies top teeth?  I’m up for trying ANYTHING that may help to remineralize them.  Poor kid.  He’s not got bottle mouth, I breastfed for 3 years and we still have this.  Sucks…..  I’ve signed up for both newsletters, and I hope to learn things that might help! Thank you both!

Signed up for Orawellness newsletter…now onto our oral health challenge…I’d have to say its finding a healthy toothpaste that my Husband will tolerate that doesn’t have crap in it. He has complained about all the other all natural toothpastes I have purchased. Maybe if I win, we can try their product out and he’ll actually like it! :)

Making time for brushing.  After brushing 3 sets of kid-teeth, I wan to crash, not brush another set!!

  • Karismithson

i am signed up for both newsletters…i love all the advice for healthy mouth care, but really interested in preventing cavities in my kids. i want to set them up for good oral health.

  • brookiej1

Get both newsletters!  I struggle with getting everyone else in my family to jump on board with my oral hygiene practices.  My 3-year-old loves the toothpaste I make, but everyone else thinks I’m nutty!  :)  My hubby’s dad & brother are both dentists, so I see what makes him a bit skeptical!.

  • Sara Goya

Subscribed to both newsletters.  Concerned with preventing cavities and receding gum lines.

  • Bethkluvers

My biggest challenge is breaking teeth.  I have had about 5 teeth in the last 4 years have a big hunk break off.  The dentist has fixed it, but it is very upsetting!  I wish I could make my teeth stronger.  I know years of chewing ice probably was terrible for them!

  • Alissa Updegraff

    Bad breath and receding gums

  • Zoey Goetsch

Just signed up for OraWellness’ newsletter and yours. My biggest dental concern is eroding enamel and general dental issues like Gingivitis and avoiding cavities while also avoiding going to the dentist!

  • http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/ OraWellness

Thanks for posting Joy.  It sounds like you are doing so much to support your family’s wellness.  It’s so frustrating when we as parents do everything we know to do and our kids still show signs of breakdown.  I have had to write some of it off to ‘genetic momentum’ (the residual of the diets of our parents and ourselves pre being aware of nutrient dense foods)  Have you looked into supporting through fermented cod liver oil?

Our products will help.  The ages of your kids is such that some children will enjoy the flavor and some would say it’s too strong.  We have diluted it for some younger children with coconut oil and they seem to appreciate the flavor then.  Plus, it’s still active enough to help with their oral health.

    Cara,

Thanks for posting!  Please do spend some time on our site.  It’s folks like you that we created the site for!  For us, it’s always much for enjoyable to ‘get to’ people before they have had gum surgery.  One customer of ours had some gum surgery before she found us.  She said she never wanted to have that done again and could we suggest an alternative.  At her last dental cleaning, her hygienist for over 7 years told her that her gums looked the best she had ever seen them by far.  The hygienist asked what she was doing different!  We love these stories.

Feel free to stop by and ask questions of us.  We’re here to help.

    Liz,

We highly encourage you to spend some time on our site.  We address so many aspects of your post on our site.  A Bass brush combined with conscious attention to the technique will help so much.

    Christysintx,

    To your health!

I’ve signed up for both newsletters.  I am 60 years old and am having the same issues with my teeth that mother has and that is my teeth crack and break.  Mine have just started and I am looking into more healthy solutions to reminalize and care for my choppers!

  • http://bestplrwriting.com/ Bridget

I just signed up! I would love this brush, my biggest problem is gum recession, even though I have been told that my teeth are in otherwise excellent shape and I don’t have any gum disease. Hopefully a different brush will help

  • Terrie Amerson

My biggest challenge has been the last 5 years before that I had only two cavities, now all my molars on top have them and have been filled, with the white filling…I am so careful and brush daily.  I signed up for your newsletter and am following you on FB as well.  Thanks for the awesome info.

me I found your site accidentally, and I’m shocked why this accident didn’t
happened earlier! I bookmarked it. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy
that does not rank this type of informative websites in top of the list.

  • elyntia

my biggest challenge is gingivitis in my own teeth, they have told me that I will very soon just have to have my teeth removed :( I am only 34, not fair, my two year old also has to have surgery on her teeth to keep from losing them to “bottle rot” I use the term loosely because she was a nursed baby

  • http://wellnessmama.com Wellness Mama

I would call OraWellness and see if they can offer any help. Susan (from OraWellness) reversed advanced problems in her own mouth, so they might be able to help. HEre is their website http://wellnessmama.com/go/orawellness/
